The Human Resources Management (HRM) department in MSF-Holland consists of approximately 50 people working in the units Administration & Services, Excellence, Office HR, Pool Management, Psychosocial Care and Recruitment & Career Management.

With immediate effect our HRM department is looking for two (2)

Personnel Officer Field (100%)

Based in Amsterdam

As the new Personnel Officer Field you will report to the Coordinator HR Services. You will be part of the HR Services Unit in the HRM department.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports HR Front Office in the (re)hiring and leaving process of field workers. This duty includes operational tasks such as pay determination (also known as ‘scaling’), sending contract orders (OIFs) to HR Administrators and preparing contract terminations;
  • Supports part of the employee on-boarding which involves activities to get the field worker timely ready for departure. This includes ensuring field workers have completed the mandatory vaccines, medical checks, police checks, and have provided updated professional certifications;
  • Supports and gives advice to HR Front Office and field workers on the standard terms and conditions of employment. This duty includes the briefing of new entries in the organization;
  • Monitors the leave registration (holidays and sickness) and timely starts up required processes in view of relevant procedures (think of: “Wet Verbetering Poortwachter”);
  • Constantly seeks for ‘Operational Excellence’; improvements in systems, processes and or procedures to make them more effective and or efficient and always with a customer focus.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Professional education in the field of human resources management on a bachelor’s level (e.g. HBO HRM);
  • At least three years of experience in a similar position;
  • Authorised to work in the Netherlands;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of and experience with Dutch labour law;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.

Next to these, we are looking for a motivated team player who is service-focused and quality driven. You are comfortable with operational HR tasks as well as administrative tasks. You are excellent with MS Office programs and can easily adapt to new database software applications. Good communication and representation skills are evident. You will work in a dynamic and sometimes stressful environment which requires flexibility, multi-tasking and a problem solving attitude.

WE OFFER

  • A challenging and exciting position in an international environment
  • A contract for 12 months with a renewal option (subject to satisfactory performance) based on a fulltime appointment (40 hours/week).
  • A gross monthly salary (grade 5) between € 2,341 and € 3,343 depending on professional experience, based on a fulltime appointment
  • Other benefits include 30 holidays based on a fulltime appointment and a premium-free pension plan
