Job Brief
As a Hospital Coordinator you are responsible for managing the activities in the hospital run by MSF. You ensure a high quality of medical care for the targeted population while safeguarding MSF protocols and project objectives.
Your job
The Hospital Coordinator provides direction, support, and leadership to hospital staff in achieving the overall vision for the hospital and improving quality and patient safety. In many contexts working closely with the Ministry of Health building capacity and developing self-sufficiency. The Hospital Coordinator oversees and directs the day-to-day activities of the hospital and is accountable for the enforcement of the MSF healthcare protocols, procedures, and standards. The Hospital Coordinator works with the PC and Medical Coordinator evaluating on a regular basis the pertinence and interaction of the hospital in its context. Responsible for the relevant quality improvement data and monthly reports of the different wards of the Hospital. Report hierarchically to the Project Coordinator of MSF and functionally to the Medical Coordinator of the mission.
Requirements for Hospital Coordinator
• Medical or Paramedical degree
• Degree in Management of Health Facilities is an asset or degree in Public Health Administration
• At least 5 years management experience of health facilities medical and public health facilities
• Working experience with MSF or with other non-governmental organizations working in unstable or conflict areas is highly desirable
• Experience in tropical medicine, or post-registration experience in Public Health, obs and gynae, pediatrics, A, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS/STDs, TB, general practice, general medicine or minor surgery
• Excellent command of the English language. Depending of the mission location, French or Arabic can be essential as second language
• Highly developed leadership and management competencies
• Strong communication, problem solving, and decision-making
• You act on strategic level as well on operational level in managing teams and people
• Service orientated, team player
• Computer literacy is required (Word, Excel, internet)
• Availability of at least 12 months, willingness to work and live within High Insecure Contexts.

Conditions:
- 12 months of temporary contract with possible extension at the end of the period according to internal analysis
- Monthly salary will be determined in accordance with our international remuneration system, based on previous experience on similar positions and country of residence
